Project Overview
Friends of Farrell’s first project is fundraising for the rebuilding of the Farrell Steelers Football & Athletic field, and the surrounding Track. The field will be rebuilt as a turf field with the Farrell Steelers logo engraved at both end zones. The track will be an all-weather track that will allow Farrell School District to conduct track meets which currently is impossible due to the track’s current surface material of concrete. The entire project will cost approximately $1.2 Million. Tommie L. Pegues & Donald A. Capoccia have pledged $100K and have already paid $50K of their pledge. We are asking everyone in the community to give what you can but any individual willing to give $350 or more (Churches $450 & Businesses $550) will have their names engraved on the donor board that will be placed in plain sight permanently on the stadium grounds. We also have Silver Giving levels starting at $1,000, Gold Giving Levels at $2,500 and Platinum Giving levels for any donation over $5,000. These donations will be highlighted as top tier donors. - We know all too well that $350 is a lot of money and we have made it easier for you to give by making available an installment plan whereby you pay $44 a month for 8 months. You can do this at the check-out process on our web site or you can also mail us a check at Friends of Farrell, 329 Shilling Avenue, Farrell, PA 16121 please make checks payable to Better Future International C/O Friends of Farrell.
- We are also actively pursuing grants and other financing to offset the project costs. As you know the application process is very long and there is no guarantee that we will be awarded any type of grant but we are hopeful and we remain steadfast.
- We need everyone’s assistance to get this done. We hope that everyone’s name in the community will be engraved on the donor board to illustrate the power of what our community can do! We are a small community but we are very powerful! If you want to change our community then we need all the residents and the friends of the community to bring forth this change. Let’s move some mountains together!
